Wilson Snyder
Wilson Snyder, executive director of COGNEGY, has demonstrated an outstanding record of dramatically reducing operating costs, and improving productivity and customer service for his clients in the Fortune 500 and FT-SE-100 banking and securities industries. His clients benefit by experiencing a dramatic impact in growth and profitability under his leadership, which offers quantifiable, documented expertise in strategic operations management and process analysis.
As former President of Lewco Securities, a New York securities settlement firm, Wilson held responsibility and accountability for all operations, budgeting, P&L, finance/accounting, HR and IT results. He expanded the firm’s processing capacity from 30,000 trades per day to over 100,000 trades per day while maintaining a constant operating budget of $75 million. As the Corporate Principal, he had regulatory responsibility to the NYSE.
Prior to Lewco Securities, Wilson served as Director of IT & Operations in London at Schroders, a British Merchant Bank, where he generated a 30 percent quantifiable annual operating savings while managing all aspects of IT, banking, treasury operations, and security settlement operations. He was also Vice President at Continental Bank in London where he emphasized the development of European-focused systems, established uniform product costing definitions and methods, introduced computer models to measure productivity, and achieved a quality-related savings exceeding $2 million each year. During this time he was functionally responsible for all operations in the European offices.
Wilson earned his B.A. in Math from Bucknell University and is a graduate of the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking. He has held NASD Series 7, 24 and 27 and is an active member of IBANA – Independent Business Advisors of North America. Wilson is active within his community and serves on several committees. He also enjoys golf, scuba diving, Lionel trains, reading and now a new grandson. He and his wife reside in Roswell, Georgia, and have two grown children.
